Advertise in The Newsletter

The Black Urbanist has created a community of architects, planners, engineers, community developers, journalists, and citizens committed to celebrating the urban form, as well as its diversity.

Would you like to put your business in front of a popular urbanist media platform that has a targeted ad base, that is willing to click and see what you are doing? Are you an urbanist and would like to do your part by keeping the lights on here and reach your peers with your services?

Especially one that centers on Black queer feminists and other gender and racially marginalized, underestimated, and extremely talented urbanists?

Take out an ad in The Black Urbanist Monthly Classifieds!

Starting at  $75/month with a 4-month commitment you can have up to 350 words in the “Before You Go” section. That can be a job advertisement, a note about your firm or a project your firm is working on that needs public input or is now open and finished! Or you could wish a fellow urbanist Happy Birthday or congrats on their retirement or advertise the sale of objects.

You can also purchase one month for $155, two months for $250, or three months for $275.

The newsletter goes out in Eastern time and is re-posted right here on this site,  Substack, LinkedIN and to my Patreons and on my X, Facebook and LinkedIn channels.

Email me at kristen@theblackurbanist.com with your ad and how many weeks you want. I will then invoice you via Intuit Quickbooks. Invoices must be paid in full by midnight the Saturday before the Monday of your first ad.  ALL AD SALES ARE FINAL, but we can stop running the ad early if your position is filled or it’s canceled. We can also edit any ads for events that need to be rescheduled and change their run dates to be more relevant to the event.

Also, I have one slot each week for a Black queer feminist nonprofit, business, or person that has yet to turn a profit, raise enough money, or is unemployed/underpaid to run an ad for free. Reach out to me at the email above and let’s get your word out!
